Este vídeo apresenta a ganhadora do programa "Ukraine’s Got Talent",  Kseniya Simonova, de 24 anos, desenhando uma série de imagens em uma mesa de areia iluminada mostrando como as pessoas comuns foram afetadas pela invasão alemã durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Seu talento, que é claramente diferente, é fascinante de olhar.

As imagens, projetadas em uma grande tela, levaram várias pessoas do auditório às lágrimas e ela ganhou o primeiro prêmio de cerca de £ 75.000,00.

Ela começa criando uma cena com um casal sentado, segurando suas mãos, em um banco sob um céu estrelado. Mas, quando chegam os aviões de guerra, a feliz cena é desfeita.

Ela é substituída por um rosto de mulher chorando, mas quando chega uma criança, a mulher volta a sorrir. A guerra retorna novamente e a artista joga areia formando o caos, de onde o rosto de uma jovem aparece.  
Ela rapidamente se transforma em uma velha viúva, com o rosto enrugado e triste, antes da imagem se transformar no monumento ao Soldado Desconhecido na Ucrânia.

Esta cena externa fica emoldurada por uma janela, como se o observador estivesse olhando para o monumento de dentro de uma casa.
Na cena final, uma mãe e uma criança aparecem do lado de dentro, com um homem parado do lado de fora da casa, pressionando sua mão sobre o vidro, dando adeus.
A Grande Guerra Patriótica, como é chamada na Ucrânia, resultou na morte de ¼ da população, com 8 a 11 milhões de mortos em uma população de 42 milhões de pessoas.

A artista Kseniya Simonova diz:  
“Acho bastante difícil criar arte usando papel e lápis ou pincéis, mas usar areia e os dedos está além do meu entendimento. A arte, especialmente quando a guerra é usada como tema, chega a levar as pessoas às lágrimas. E não existe maior elogio do que este.”

This video features the winner of the "Ukraine's Got Talent," Kseniya Simonova, 24, drawing a series of images in a lighted sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during the Second World War. His talent, which is clearly different, it is fascinating to look at.

"I find it difficult to create art using paper and pencil or a brush, but use sand and fingers is beyond my understanding. The art, especially when war is used as the theme, comes to getting people to tears. And there is no greater compliment than this. "
